Info:

A 5-star luxury hotel has been built in the very heart of the historic city centre, behind the listed facade of the 5-storey former Messepalast.

The scope of the work encompassed 165 individual luxury rooms with en-suite, 11 suites, a two-storey Presidential Suite covering 200 m² complete with roof loggia, a conference area consisting of 7 conference rooms and foyers, the hotel restaurant, a covered courtyard containing the lobby and bar, the Gourmet restaurant „Le Grand“, and a Wellness area over two floors in the basement. Also included was the coordination of all the specially commissioned artwork and decoration. The interior design concept was created for all areas of the hotel. The covered courtyard was designed in close cooperation with the listed building authorities, as was the access via the historic stairwells and entrances.

The result is a modern Grandhotel that represents a unique blend of historical building and contemporary design.

The key feature dominating the identity of the hotel is the design concept, which draws on the surrounding city of Leipzig, the character of Goethe‘s Faust and the history of the building itself. This concept is vividly conveyed to the guest in every facet of the hotel.
