The conversion of the almost 800-year-old farm building into a golf club was based on the client’s request that the clubrooms be designed to include a restaurant with ancillary rooms as well as a day spa. The conversion, which was completed in 2000, was integrated into the historic building in a way that resulted in a contrast between old and new, creating a permanent, positive dialogue between the eras and usages.
